Obituary of Elaine Gunn

Elaine Gunn age 70, of Brooklyn passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025. Elaine Gunn was born December 2, 1954 in Brooklyn, New York. She is the daughter of the late William and the late Florence (McDonough) Gunn. Cherished sister of Matthew Gunn (Pat), the late William Gunn and the late Estelle Gunn.

Elaine was a proud graduate of Kings County Nursing School, Class of 1975. At Brooklyn Caladonian Hospital, she cared for patients and led her staff in the Intensive Care Unit and the Emergency Room. Elaine went on to become an administrator at Advica Health Care and New York Presbyterian Hospital. She spent the greater part of her career advancing initiatives in health care as a Vice President at Maimonides Medical Center.

Elaine loved hosting family and friends in her home. She enjoyed traveling to Europe and throughout the United States. Her kindness and generosity knew no bounds. She extended the love she had for her family to her many lifelong friends.

Wake service will be on Sunday March 9, 2025 from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Marine park Funeral Home. 3024 Quentin Road Brooklyn, NY 11234, 718-339-8900.

Funeral mass will be on Monday March 10, 2025 at St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church at 9:45 AM. 129-16 Rockaway Beach Boulevard Belle Harbor, NY 11694.

Committal service will immediately follow to Calvary Cemetery. 49-02 Laurel Hill Boulevard Woodside, NY 11377.
