Obituary of William J. Lopez

William J. Lopez, age 85, of Brooklyn entered into eternal rest Wednesday, October 22, 2025, surrounded by his family. William was born July 26, 1940 in Manhattan. He is the son of the late William and the late Evelyn (Sarro) Lopez. Beloved husband of 35 years to Florence (Romano) Lopez. Loving father of Linda, Joann and Jennifer. Cherished grandfather of 12 and great grandfather of 4.

Reposing on Monday, October 27 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY

Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:30 AM on Tuesday, October 28 at St. Thomas Aquinas R.C. Church, 1550 Hendrickson Street, Brooklyn.

Burial to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Farmingdale, Long Island.

We give them back to you,

O Lord, who first gave them to us,

yet as you did not lose them in the giving,

so we do not lose them by their return.

For what is yours is ours also,

if we belong to you.

Love is undying, and life is unending,

and the boundary of this mortal life

is but a horizon, and a horizon is nothing

save the limit of our sight. Lift us up,

O God, that our sight may see further.

Cleanse our eyes, that we may see more

clearly and while you prepare the place

for this departed soul, prepare us also for

that happy place, that we may be with you,
