Obituary of Lorraine Alfieri
Lorraine Alfieri, age 86, of Brooklyn, NY, passed away, Wednesday, October 29, 2025. Mrs. Alfieri was born January 20, 1939 in Brooklyn, NY. She is the daughter of the late Robert and the late Sarah (nee Caravello) Vaccarino.
She is survived by her dear husband of 66 years, Lewis Alfieri.
Devoted mother of Linda (Joe) Laspina and Diane (Vincent) Mandel.
Cherished grandmother of Joseph (Barbara,) Joliette (Rudy,) Louis, Jaxi and Vincent (Sarai.)
Great grandmother of Joey and Utopia.
Predeceased by her siblings the late Marie (Arthur) Hamlin, the late Frank (Adrianna) Vaccarino and the late Gloria Goodheart (Tommy.)
Loved by many nieces and nephews.
She will be missed by her grandpups Milo, Basil, and Maxi.
Lorraine loved her family and friends deeply and unconditionally, and her warmth touched all who knew her.
An active member of St. Columba’s Ladies Guild, she cherished the friendships she made there and looked forward to bus trips to Atlantic City with her fellow parishioners. She was known for her sharp mind and loved spending time with crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and Wordle.
A loving and doting grandparent, Lorraine gave her full attention and affection to each of her grandchildren, always making them feel special. She had a deep faith that guided her throughout her life and was known for her kind and optimistic spirit, always finding the good in every situation.
An amazing cook, she was famous among family and friends for making the world’s best artichokes. Active and full of life, she loved to walk, travel, and experience life to the fullest.
Even in her final days, Lorraine continued to light up with joy when playing a game of Liverpool Rummy.
She will be remembered for her love, faith, and the many lives she brightened with her kindness and warmth
Calling hours will be Sunday, November 2 from 2:00 – 5:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc., 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Monday, November 3 at St. Columba R.C. Church, 2245 Kimball Street, Brooklyn, NY with Fr. Lambert officiating.
Burial to immediately follow in St. John Cemetery, Queens.
