Obituary of Filomena McGlynn

Filomena (Phyllis) McGlynn has passed away on February 19th, 2026 at the age of 69. She was a friend, a loving mother, and a grandmother. She was born to John and Marie Staluppi, both who preceded her in death as well as her sister Jo Ann Cassar. She is survived by her siblings Barbara Cassidy, and Stephen Staluppi, her husband Bobby McGlynn, her children: Nicole Blackmore and her husband Richard Blackmore, Robert McGlynn, Stephen McGlynn and his partner Jodie Grier, as well as her grandchild Richie Blackmore. 

Phyllis grew up in Brooklyn, NY and later moved to the Poconos where she raised her 3 children. She loved playing paddleball, spending time at the beach, and bicycle riding with her husband Bobby. Phyllis was a very thoughtful and giving person, and will be missed by those who had the privilege of knowing her.  

The visitation for Filomena McGlynn will be held at Marine Park Funeral Home on Friday, February 27, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. The funeral procession will depart the funeral home by 11:45 AM. The Committal Service will be held at the Evergreens Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY.
