Robert Caridi

Obituary of Robert Dwyer Caridi

Robert Dwyer Caridi, age 40, of Brooklyn, NY, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026. Mr. Caridi was born January 21, 1986 in Brooklyn, NY.

Robert was a dedicated Supervisor with the DSNY, serving the City of New York with pride and commitment. Prior to his time with sanitation, he answered a different call to service as a paramedic, always willing to step forward in moments when others needed help most.

A graduate of Xavier High School, Class of 2004, Robert was an accomplished and passionate athlete. He loved the game of rugby and proudly played on the U-19 USA Rugby Team in South Africa, an experience that reflected both his talent and determination. He also shared his competitive spirit and camaraderie as a member of the DSNY football team.

Above all else, Robert's greatest and most cherished role was being a father. He was the devoted and loving father of Connor and Sean, who were the center of his world. Whether at the beach, fishing by the water, or filling their days with endless activities and laughter, Robert treasured every moment spent with his boys. His love for them was steady, joyful, and unconditional.

He is survived by his loving parents, Norman and Kathleen (née Dwyer) Caridi; his devoted sons, Connor and Sean; his brother Daniel Caridi (Jeannie); and his beloved nieces and nephews, Daniel, Vincent, and Adrianna. He was a proud and caring uncle, a loyal brother, and a deeply loved son.

Robert will be remembered for his strength, his loyalty, his athletic spirit, and most of all, his deep devotion to his family. His presence was steady, his heart was generous, and his love will continue to live on in those who knew him best.

He will be profoundly missed and forever cherished.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, March 4 from 2:00 – 5:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc., 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.
