We send our Prayers to Chic's Son & all of our dear friends who are connected through the love we all had for Chic.. We always knew Chic & Margo for their loving kindness in serving our Lord in our beloved church, Good Shepherd.. We take comfort in knowing that he's at peace with our Lord,& looking forward to the glorious promise from our Lord, of the Resurrection..We always loved Chic's strong voice & even though we're here in TX, we've had him in our Prayers & thoughts..We're never really far apart, because our loved ones stay forever within our Heart..

What can you say when you lose a friend of the family you have had for over 50 years? Words just seem to fail. Chic & Margot were always the first ones to greet you when you entered the church. Even Chic's mother Ethel was such a big part of Good Shepherd playing the piano for the Sunday school. My oldest son Peter remembers Chic coming to our apartment on E 22nd when he was just 3 years old and playing Santa Claus. Of course he knew it was Chic because Margot was at his side. Chic with your beautiful voice , may you accompany all the angels and be with your beloved Margot, mother Ethel, & son Glenn in Heaven. Until we meet again, farewell my friend.

It's been a tough couple days but I have nothing but great memories of Chic. He was my adopted grandfather for 20 wonderful years and we always shared this great love for chocolate :-). I know he is at peace with Glenn and Margo now. I miss you dearly and will always love you. Now go sing with the angels...

CHIC, we'll miss you & all you've been to us. You were Kenny's Sunday School teacher at GS, you were there when Kenny & I married, you were there when Kristine & Douglas were confirmed & when my eldest granddaughter was baptised at GS. You & Margo were always there. We shared many happy as well as difficult & sad times. You have fought the good fight & the Lord has called you home. The peace of the Lord be with you. Chic has been a part of our family since we joined Good Shepherd in 1975. He has been a mentor to both of our children, especially Robert, with whom he worked with church cleanup and the altar. In 2000, after Pastor Bode left the church, I began selecting the hymns for Sunday morning worship - it was at this point that Chic and I worked very closely with the music ministry of the church. Chic was sometimes the only one, other than the Pastor, who understood why I selected cetain hymns on certain days. We also worked closely on choir music and solos. Chic was also instrumental in helping to launch the contemporary (now the blended) services at Good Shepherd, stemming from a conference that he and I attended in 2003. Chic, you will always have a special place in our hearts. We know you are now resting comfortably with the Lord. Say "hi" to Margo!
